The LIFE + Stop Cortaderia Project is being developed on two work levels which allow strategic working on the Atlantic Arc in a practical and demonstrative manner in the field of the autonomous region of Cantabria.

Atlantic Arc: It includes the regions of the North and Centre of Portugal; the autonomous regions of Galicia, the Principality of Asturias, and Cantabria, and the provinces of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa in Spain; together with the regions of Aquitaine and Poitou-Charentes in France.

It includes the coastal spaces of the Natura 2000 Network of Cantabria, to be precise the Special Protection Areas (SPA): Western Rías and Duna de Oyambre, Dunas de Liencres and Estuario del Pas, Dunas del Puntal and Estuario del Miera, Costa Central and Ría de Ajo, Marshes of Santoña, Victoria, and Joyel; and the municipalities of the south of Cantabria in which the presence of the pampas grass has not yet been detected or where the specimens are distributed in isolation.
